The Robins continued to roll this afternoon, defeating the Mounds View Rams 18-0. Twelve different players scored goals, helping to push their regular season record to 7-0. Marcus Brady led the goal scoring with 3. Jayda Johnson, Nikki Dougan and Jose Leon Estrada all had 2 goals, while Sam Roles, Santana Washington, Calvin Bauman, Ava Hetteen, Lucas Harper, Nick Johnson and Micah Bomgardner all had 1 goal each. Several Robins were quite busy in the assist category as well, with Sam Roles tying Harrison Lerner’s 2007 team record with 6 assists. Bomgardner was next with 4 assists, Hetteen had 3, Harper and Bauman had 2 and Johnson, Dougan and Brady all recorded 1 assist each. Darius Larson and Edgar Kinanga each blocked 3 shots, while Brady and Harper split the goalkeeping, making one stop each. The Robins wrap up the regular season next weeek with games at Park Center and Anoka-Hennepin.

The Robins got 4 goals from Sam Roles and 3 assists from Marcus Brady on their way to an 8-2 win over the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs and now are the owners of a 6-0 record. The currently undefeated record assures the Robins the 2019 North Conference championship and a #1 seed at the state tournament in November, even with 3 regular season games remaining on the schedule. In addition to the offensive output from Roles and Brady, Ava Hetteen had 1 goal and 2 assists to go along with 1 goal each from Nick Johnson, Calvin Bauman and Jose Leon Estrada. Darius Larson blocked 6 shots, Edgar Kinanga blocked 11 and Lucas Harper earned his 5th win while making 14 saves. The Robins have their final home game of the season next Tuesday against Mounds View at 4:15 PM.

The Robins win streak was kept alive this afternoon with an 8-5 win over the Park Center Pirates. It took Marcus Brady just 9 seconds to put the Robins’ first goal into the Pirates net, then he added a second one just 56 seconds later. The Robins ran out to a 7-1 lead before Park Center scored on 2 penalty kicks in the closing seconds of the first half to make it a 7-3 game. The Pirates kept the pressure on and managed to get as close as 7-5 berfore Sam Roles scored his 4th goal of the game and locked things up for the Robins. Roles and Brady both finished with 4 goals, with Brady also recording 1 assist while Roles added 2 of his own. Ava Hetteen was great all over the floor and finished the game with 4 assists. Lucas Harper continues to improve tremendously and really held is own against the relentless Pirates attack and made 22 saves. Darius Larson blocked 11 shots and Edgar Kinanga blocked 8. The Robins have a chance to lock up the North Conference next week when they travel to the Andover YMCA to face the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs on October 15.

The Robins win streak is now at 4 games after a total team effort led to a 23-0 win over a very shorthanded Mounds View squad. The Robins typical starters played sparingly, and often were in roles different than usual when in the game. The Robins youthful roster full of newcomers to the program dominated the playing time and showed how much improvement they have made over the first month of the season. The Robins managed to net 6 goals in the opening 4 minutes of the game and continued to roll from there. Ava Hetteen and Micah Bomgardner both scored 5 goals, with Hetteen also recording an assist. Santana Washington had 4 goals and 1 assist while Sam Roles and Nick Johnson had 2 goals and 2 assists. Calvin Bauman, Jose Leon Estrada, Nikki Dougan, Edgar Kinanga and Marcus Brady all scored once, with Kinanga also tallying 4 assists. Jayda Johnson had 2 assists, and Darius Larson and Lucas Harper both had 1 assist each. Marcus Brady and Ava Hetteen shared goalkeeping duties, with both making 1 save each. The Robins are at home next Thursday, October 10 to face Park Center.

The Robins moved to 3-0 on the season and are in sole posession of first place in the North Conference after a 7-3 win over the previously undefeated Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs. The Robins thoroughly controlled all aspects of the game during the first 20 minutes and took a 5-0 lead into halftime. Anoka presented a few different looks offensively in the second half and managed to put a greater level of pressure on the Robins’ defense, but never truly threatened the Robins’ lead. The Mustangs scored 3 times in the final 20 minutes of the game, but the Robins responded with 2 of their own. Sam Roles was dominant in this game, scoring 5 times. Ava Hetteen scored 1 goal and had 2 assists, while Jayda Johnson also scored 1 goal. Lucas Harper continued to make solid progress as the goalkeeper, making 13 saves and looking much more relaxed as the game went on. Edgar Kinanga blocked 6 shots defensively and Darius Larson blocked 4. The Robins are off until next Thursday when they are at home to face Mounds View.
