The Robins got back on the winning track this afternoon with a fantastic game in front of a packed gym at Armstrong. The Robins’ powerful offense scored the five-run maximum in three different innings, leading them to the 16-11 win over the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs. Seventh graders Abbi Lashuay and Grady Lease led the way with identical stat lines. Both went 3 for 3 with a triple, a home run and 5 RBI. Calvin Bauman, Junior Dockter, Jose Leon Estrada and Nick Johnson all went 3 for 3, while Noah Mittendorff was 2 for 2. Johson, Lease and Estrada all scored three times each. Jayda Johnson was the winning pitcher once again while making several outstanding plays in the field. The Robins wrap up the regular season next Monday with a game at Osseo.

The Robins were handed their first loss of the season this afternoon by the defending state champion Dakota United Hawks in a non-conference matchup at Armstrong. The Hawks scored five times in the first inning, giving them all the runs they would need to secure the win as they cruised to a 16-2 victory. The power of the Hawks bats and their crisp plays in the field were simply too much for the Robins to overcome today. Nick Johnson, Micah Bomgardner, Grady Lease, Noah Mittendorff and Sean Majeski all collected two hits each, with Majeski and Mittendorff driving in 1 RBI each. The Robins will look to bounce back on Wednesday afternoon in their final home game of the season against Anoka-Hennepin.

Grady Lease, Abbi Lashuay and Darius Larson all went 4-4, with Lease scoring twice and hitting 2 doubles. Larson scored once and drove in 2 critical RBI. Nick Johnson had 3 hits, including a double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Junior Dockter and Micah Bomgardner also finished with 2 RBI each.
