The Robins moved to 4-0 this afternoon with a hard fought 10-6 victory over Anoka-Hennepin. The Robins started slowly at the plate today, trailing 4-1 after three innings. In the fourth inning, the tides turned, as the Robins rallied for 5 runs and took the lead for good. Jayda Johnson was the difference maker today, drawing 3 walks at the plate while having an absolutely stellar game in the field. She pitched extremely well and as a fielder played a major role in recording12 of the 21 outs in the game. Grady Lease, Abbi Lashuay and Darius Larson all went 4-4, with Lease scoring twice and hitting 2 doubles. Larson scored once and drove in 2 critical RBI. Nick Johnson had 3 hits, including a double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Junior Dockter and Micah Bomgardner also finished with 2 RBI each. The win clinched first place in the North Conference for the Robins who still have three game remaining before the state tournament. The Robins are at home next week with Dakota United coming to Armstrong on Tuesday and Anoka-Hennepin on Wednesday.
