The Robins were on the road this afternoon to face the defending state champion Dakota United Hawks. The Robins were up for the challenge and were ready to play right from the first whistle. Jose Leon Estrada did his part to give the team the lead, scoring three times in the first 8 minutes. From there, everyone else made solid contributions and played a vital role in the 10-1 victory. Estrada finished the game with 7 goals and 2 assists. Jayda Johnson continued to be the heart of the Robins defensive effort and played a huge part in limiting the Hawks to just 10 shots on goal while also adding 3 assists. Grady Lease scored twice and Michah Bomgardner added a goal of his own. Abbi Lashuay and Nick Johnson were credited with 1 assist each. Goalkeepers Josh Reis and Sean Majeski were solid all game long, with Reis making 8 saves and Majeski finishing with 2. Overall, the Robins outshot the Hawks 44 – 10. The win gives the Robins the regular season conference championship and the #1 overall seed at the Adapted Soccer State Tournament on November 17-18. The Robins are at home this Thursday, November 2 to close out the season with a game against Anoka-Hennepin.
