The Robins are now 2-0 after another 14-4, 5-inning victory, this time against the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs. The Robins defense showed significant improvement since the last game, and did a great job of limiting scoring opportunities by the Mustangs. The Robins scored the 5 run maximum in the first inning and never looked back from there. A strong second inning had the Robins in front 8-0 before the Mustangs scored their first run in the third inning. Another 5 run inning in the bottom of the third all but put the game away. The Robins middle schoolers were red-hot tonight with Grady Lease, Junior Dockter and Abbi Lashuay all going 3 for 3 at the plate. Dockter finished the game with a triple and 2 RBI, Lease had a triple and 3 RBI and Lashuay scored twice. Sophomore Noah Mittendorff was also solid again tonight, also going 3 for 3. Nick Johnson and Sean Majeski also had very solid games, with both recording 2 hits and scoring 2 times. Jayda Johnson was as good as ever on the mound, pitching all 5 innings and fielded her position extremely well. The Robins are now off until May 3rd when the travel to Osseo for a rematch with the Orioles.
