1/30/2023 Robins vs. South Suburban
The Robins hosted the South Suburban Flyers in a non-conference game this afternoon, played very well, and came away with a 17-1 victory. In a complete team effort, 8 different Robins scored goals and recorded at least 1 point each. While they were led by Jose Leon Estrada’s 4 goals and 2 assists, the story of the game was the tremendous efforts put forth by Jayda Johnson and Abbi Lashuay who both finished the game with 3 goals and 2 assists. Not far behind was Nick Johnson who recorded a hat-trick of his own with 3 goals and 1 assist. Junior Dockter scored his first floor hockey goal as a member of the Robins and added an assist, while Sean Majeski was the winning goalkeeper, but also played offense in the third period and scored his first career goal as well. Calvin Bauman and Micah Bomgardner also recorded 1 goal each. Darius Larson played defense for most of the game, making 4 blocks, but also logged some time in the net, making 2 saves before eventually finishing the game on offense as a forward. The Robins are off until Monday, February 6 when they host Minneapolis at Armstronh High School.
