The Robins got the 2018 adapted soccer season off to an amazing start this afternoon, defeating the Park Center Pirates 9-1. Ninth grader Ava Hetteen scored the first goal of the season for the Robins (and the first of her Robins’ career) 8 minutes into the game, and the Robins never looked back from there! Hetteen finished the game with 2 goals and played very well on both ends of the floor. Sam Roles had one of the best games of his young soccer career, netting 5 goals to go with 1 assist. Maddie Ausk and Marcus Brady also were great, finishing with 1 goal and 1 assist each. Nikki Dougan, Izear Joiner and Vincent Luu all were credited with 1 assist each. Luu made 29 saves in net. Darius Larson blocked 11 shots while Edgar Kinanga blocked 13. The Robins will look to build on this great effort next week when they travel to the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs on September 27. Way to go, Robins!
