01/17/2018 - Robins vs. Anoka-Hennpin
The Robins kicked off the 2017-2018 adapted floor hockey regular season against the long-time rival Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs. The Robins got their offense going early with Calvin Gerdt scoring the first goal less than 90 seconds into the game, and things kept building from there. Good puck movement and aggressive play led to seven more goals from the Robins, and they finished the day with an 8-2 victory. Goalkeeper Hayley Engebretsen made 23 saves, and received solid help from defenders Edgar Kinanga (11 blocks), Ethan Sullivan (7 blocks) and Lydia Mazza (4 blocks). Calvin Gerdt finished the game with 3 goals and 1 assist. Vincent Luu had 2 goals and 2 assists, Izear Joiner had 2 goals and Marcus Brady had 1 goal. The Robins are off until next Wednesday when the face the Brainerd Warriors at 4:15 PM at Armstrong High School.
