In their first home game of the season, the Robins did a great job of entertaining their fans with some great hitting and some fantastic plays in the field on their way to a 17-2 win over the Osseo Orioles. Osseo got on the board with 1 run in the first inning, but that was the only lead they would hold in this game. The Robins strung togther 6 hits, plating 5 runs in the home half of the first inning and they were well on their way to the victory. Five more runs in the second inning, including a 3-run, bases clearing triple by Marcus Brady pushed the lead to 10-1. The Orioles put a few nice hits togther in the third to score their second and final run of the game before the Robins scored five more times in the third, including a 3-run home run by Nick Johnson. The mercy rule came into play after just 3 batters in the home half of the fourth inning, as the Robins score their final 2 runs and pushed the lead to 15. Jayda Johnson and Ava Hetteen both pitched 2 solid innings, with Hetteen recording 3 strikeouts while on the mound. The Robins are at home on Thursday to face Minneapolis in a non-conference game.
