The Robins opened the 2019 Adapted Softball State Tournament in the same fashion they ended the regular season, with a dominating 5 inning victory. The Robins faced the Burnsville-Farmington-Lakeville Blazing Cats in the state quarterfinals and took charge immediately, posting the maximum 5 runs in the first inning. They added 1 run in the second, 2 in the third and 2 more in the fourth as they cruised to victory.

The second day of the adapted softball state tournament got off to a rough start for the Robins, as they struggled with their bats and their fielding when they faced the #2 seed from the South Conference, the Rochester Raiders. The game was 2-0 in favor of the Raiders through two innings, but things got out of hand quickly in the third inning, and the Raiders ultimately pulled away with a 13-3 win in 5 innings.

The Robins bounced back nicely, played some solid defense and got some timely hitting as they took home the third place trophy by defeating the Osseo Orioles 7-3. Three runs in the first inning and three more in the second proved to be more than enough as the Robins defense only allowed 5 Orioles base runners to advance to second base or beyond.

Sam Roles and Vincent Luu were named to the Wells-Fargo All-Tournament Team. Congratulations, Robins – it was another great season! #Robination
