The Robins are now 5-0 after a 7-1 win over the Osseo Orioles. A 4-run first inning was all the Robins needed to secure the win, however they would have much rather been able to string together a few nice innings at the plate than have their bats go cold and struggle to produce base runners. After that big opening inning, the Robins had difficulty putting more than two or three hits together and getting base runners in to scoring position, as they had two innings with no hits and 1 inning with just one hit. Fortunately, they were able to score single runs in three different innings to give themselves a little cushion. The Robins terrific defense in the field didn’t hurt their cause either as they continued to play nearly error free ball. Kajon Terrell came up with a huge catch in center field in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Orioles had two runners on base and one of their biggest hitters at the plate. If Terrell didn’t come up with that ball, the outcome of the game definitely could have been a little different! Vincent Luu carried much of the load at the plate today, recording three hits, including a triple to go with three runs scored and three RBI. The Robins are now at home for the final two games of the season, facing Mounds View on May 9 and Anoka-Hennepin on May 14.
