Robins 19 vs. Osseo 0
The Robins opened the season tonight with a big win over the Osseo Orioles, 19-0. The Robins were in charge right from the start, leadind 10-0 after two innings. The Orioles had runners on second base on two different occasions, but the Robins' defense kept them from advancing any further. Steven Halsey, Josh Klein and Jesse Klein all went 3-3, while Jenna Stolarek-Houston, Brian Kraske, Brent Swanson, Ethan Brenna, Misha Eletsky and Alex Stoiaken all were 2-2. Jesse Klein led the Robins with 4 RBI, and Ethan Brenna finished with 3 RBI. |

Robins 20 @ Wayzata-Minnetonka 3
The Robins improved to 2-0 tonight with a 20-3 victory over the Wayzata-Minnetonka Lakers. For the second straight game, the Robins put 10 runs on the board in the first two innings. Wayzata was able to score two runs in the first inning, but could manage just one run after that. Steven Halsey, Harrison Lerner and Keith Breding all went 4-4, with Breding driving in 5 runs. Jesse Klein, Harrison Lerner and Erin Nickell split the pitching duties, with all three doing a very nice job. |

Robins 14 vs. Mounds View 3
Tonight, the Robins played the 2-0 Mounds View Rams, and moved to 3-0 with a 14-3 victory. The Robins played without two of their usual starters tonight and hardly missed a beat, putting runs on the scoreboard early in the game and playing solid defense throughout. Steven Halsey, Brian Kraske and Harrison Lerner all went 4-4. Lerner and James Sneltjes led the Robins with 3 RBI each. Erin Nickell pitched all 5 innings, giving up just 5 hits and 3 earned runs. |

Robins 13 @ White Bear Lake 1
The Robins continued their winning ways today, defeating the White Bear Lake Bears 13-1. Cassee Cannata, Keith Breding and Jesse Klein all went 3-3, while Josh Klein drove in 3 runs. Jesse Klein pitched all 5 innings and picked up his third win of the season. |

Robins 16 @ Anoka-Hennepin 12
In what was their biggest challenge yet this season, the Robins fought hard and pulled out a 16-12 come-from-behind victory over the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs. The Robins fell behind early in this game, trailing 8-2 after two innings. Some great hitting by the Mustangs, and some very untimely base running errors by the Robins accounted for the majority of the scoring gap. The Robins chipped away at the lead, scoring two in the third, then exploded for five in the fourth to make the score 9-9 after four innings. The Robins picked up one in the fifth, then got four in the sixth and two more in the seventh to finish off the win. Steven Halsey was 5-5 with a HR, and James Sneltjes was 4-4 with 5 RBI. Ethan Brenna, Keith Breding and Josh Klein all were 4-5, with Klein also recording 4 RBI and hitting a HR. |

ROBINS 18 @ OSSEO 1
The Robins kicked off the second half of the 2007 the same way they started it, with another victory. As has been the case for most of the season, the Robins jumped out to an early lead, then cruised to an 18-1 win over the Osseo Orioles. Steven Halsey, Harrison Lerner and Keith Breding all went 4-4. Ethan Brenna, Alex Stoiaken, Zach Thuleen and Brent Swanson all were 2-2. Jesse Klein was the winning pitcher as the Robins moved to 6-0. |

ROBNS 13 vs. WAYZATA-MINNETONKA 1
Tonight, the Robins improved to 7-0 with a 13-1 win over the Wayzata-Minnetonka Lakers. Steven Halsey, Ethan Brenna, Harrison Lerner, Keith Breding and Alex Stoiaken all were 3-3 as the Robins pounded out 22 hits. Breding and Josh Klein led the Robins with 3 RBI each. |

ROBINS 12 @ MOUNDS VIEW 2
With a 12-2 win over the Mounds View Rams this evening, the Robins are now 8-0 with just two games remaining. Jenna Stolarek-Houston, James Sneltjes and Steven Halsey all went 3-3, while Jesse Klein led the team in RBI with 3. Klein also was the winning pitcher, giving up just 9 hits while striking out 3 batters. |

ROBINS 12 vs. WHITE BEAR 0
Tonight, the Robins moved one step closer to completing their second perfect regular season in a row with a 12-0 win over the White Bear Lake Bears. Desipte struggling a bit from the plate this evening, the Robins still managed to put up two five-run innings in the win. Ethan Brenna, Keith Breding and Alex Stoiaken all went 3-3. Stoiaken, Breding and Harrison Lerner all led the Robins with 2 RBI each. Jesse Klein picked up his eighth win of the season with the shutout, while giving up just seven hits. |

ROBINS 4 vs. ANOKA-HENNEPIN 3
Tonight, the Robins finished off their perfect season with a thrilling 4-3 come from behind victory. The Mustangs scored three runs in the first inning, but were not able to get any more runs for the rest of the game. The Robins showed their defensive strength tonight, holding Anoka-Hennepin scoreless for six consecutive innings, while their offense chipped away at the Mustang lead. Josh Klein led off the second inning with a solo home run to make the score 3-1. The Robins tied the game at 3 in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Alex Stoiaken and a sacrifice by Erin Nickell, and had a chance to take the lead, but left a runner at third base. In the seventh inning, Brian Kraske led off with a pinch hit single before being put out at second. With Harrison Lerner on first and Steven Halsey on second, Josh Klein delivered the game winning single to center with two outs to clinch the victory. |

ROBINS 12 vs. OSSEO 2
In the quarterfinal round of the adapted softball state tournament, the Robins defeated the Osseo Orioles 12-2. This was nowhere near the Robins strongest effort of the season, as they struggled mightily at the plate when compared to their regular season success, but it was enough for the win, nonetheless. Josh Klein, Jesse Klein and Alex Stoiaken all led the Robins with 2 RBI each. Cassee Cannata and Steven Halsey were the leading run scorers for the game with 3 each. Jesse Klein pitched all five innings, giving up four hits and just one earned run. |

ROBINS 6 vs. ANOKA-HENNEPIN 5
In the state championship game, the Robins faced the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs for the third time this season. The Robins knew this would be a tough game, even before it started, and the game definitely lived up to its billing. The Robins' defense was rock solid for most of the game, with the exception of the fourth inning, in which the Mustangs scored four runs to tie the game at four. The game was tied at five heading into the bottom of the sixth inning. After Steven Halsey flew out to the short fielder, Ethan Brenna ripped a triple to left center field. Harrison Lerner then followed with a single to left, making Brenna the game winning run. The Mustangs threatened in the top of the seventh, but the Robins defense clamped down once again and came away with the state championship. Josh and Jesse Klein were named to the Wells Fargo All-Tournament Team. |

ROBINS 5 vs. MOUNDS VIEW 4
In the state semi-finals, the Robins faced a much improved Mounds View squad, and snuck out a 5-4 win. The Robins defense played relatively well, holding the Rams to just 8 hits, but made a few costly errors that put them in a 4-1 hole heading into the bottom of the sixth inning. After being relatively inactive for most of the game, the Robins' bats came to life in the bottom of the sixth. The Robins managed to score four runs on doubles by Josh Klein, Jesse Klein and Keith Breding, in addition to a triple by Harrison Lerner. Jesse Klein scored the game winning run on Breding's double. Jesse Klein was the winning pitcher, giving up eight hits and two earned runs. |
