ROBINS 12 SOUTH SUBURBAN 4
The Robins got the 2006 softball season off to a great start with a 12-4 victory over the South Suburban Flyers. The game was tied at 1 after two innings, then the Robins took control, scoring 5 runs in the third, one in the fourth, four in the sixth inning, and added one last run in the seventh inning. Tim Kraske went 5-5 with four runs scored, Joey Mullen was 3-4 with two runs and 4 RBI, and Josh Klein was 4-5 with two runs and one RBI. Jesse Klein pitched all seven innings, and gave up just two earned runs, with the other two being unearned due to errors. |

ROBINS 15 WHITE BEAR 1 (5 Inn.)
In the first home game of the season, the Robins jumped out to an early lead, and never looked back, defeating the White Bear Lake Bears 15-1. The Robins led 10-1 after two innings, then started pulling starters to get everyone involved. Ashley Bailey was 3-3 with 2 runs scored, Tim Kraske was 2-2 with two runs and two RBI, Josh Klein was 2-2 with two runs, and 4 RBI, including a three-run HR. Also playing well for the Robins were: Lauren Thompson (1-1, one run and one RBI), Kira Elasky (1-1 with one run scored), and Steven Halsey (1-2, one run and one RBI). Jesse Klein once again picked up the win, pitching 5 solid innings, while striking out two batters and allowing just one earned run. |

ROBINS 11 MOUNDS VIEW 6
Tonight, the Robins imporoved their record to a perfect 3-0 with an 11-6 victory over the Mounds View Rams. The Robins had a huge first inning, putting up 5 runs without a single out. Tim Kraske started the scoring for the Robins with a Grand Slam Home Run, then Chris Schumacher followed up with a solo home run of his own. The Robins then scored two more runs in the third inning on RBI singles by Kraske and Steven Halsey. Mounds View scored two runs in the fourth and four runs in the sixth to send the game into the seventh inning with a socre of 9-6. Kati Fobes put the game away for the Robins with a 2-RBI single scoring Ashley Bailey and Tim Kraske. Kraske earned the win in his first career pitching appearance for the Robins in addition to going 4-4 with 6 RBI. Ashley Bailey went 3-3 with 3 runs scored while Steven Halsey went 3-4 with 2 runs and 1 RBI. |

ROBINS 12 MPLS. SOUTH 2 (5 Innings)
The Robins continued to play well this evening and improved their record to 4-0 with a 12-2, 5 inning victory over the Minneapolis South Tigers. The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Robins struck back with four runs of their own in the bottom of the first and cruised to victory. The Robins were led by Josh Klein, who went 3-3 with 2 home runs, 3 runs scored and 5 RBI. Tim Kraske continued his stellar play, going 3-3 with two runs and 2 RBI, while Ashley Bailey went 3-3 with a sacrifice and 2 runs, and Steven Halsey finished the game 2-3 with 3 RBI. Jesse Klein continued to pitch well, going all 5 innings and allowing just 1 earned run. |

ROBINS 15 HUMBOLDT 1 (5 Innings)
For the fifth time this year, the Robins won a game with timely hitting and solid defense, defeating the St. Paul Humboldt Hawks, 15-1. Chris Schumacher capped off a 5 run first inning with a 2 run double, then Tim Kraske put the finishing touches on a 5 run second inning with his second grand slam of the season. The Hawks put their only run on the board in the first inning, then threatened to add more runs in the third and fourth innings, but the Robins rock solid defense held them scoreless. Schumacher finished the game 1-2 with 2 RBI and Kraske finished 2-2 with 3 runs scored and 7 RBI. Ashley Bailey went 2-2 with 2 runs and 1 RBI, Keith Breding was 1-1 with 1 run and 1 RBI, Josh Klein was 1-1 with 1 run and 1 RBI, and Jesse Klein was 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Jesse also pitched all 5 innings, allowing just 1 run and ran his pitching record to 4-0. |

ROBINS 16 WAYZATA 1 (5 Innings)
The Robins improved ther record to 6-0 with a 16-1 victory over the Wayzata-Minnetonka Lakers. The Robins put the 5 run rule into play in the first, second and fourth innings to seal the deal. Every Robin played extensively and everyone was able to get at least one chance to bat. Notable individual statistics include: Ashley Bailey, 2-2, 2 runs; Tim Kraske, 2-2, 2 runs, 3 RBI; Ethan Brenna, 2-2, 2 runs, 3 RBI; Joey Mullen, 2-2, HR, 2 runs 2 RBI; Alex Stoiaken, 2-2, 1 RBI; Lauren Thompson, 2-2, 1 run, 1 RBI and Erin Nickell, 1-1, HR, 1 run and 3 RBI. ROBINS 20 OSSEO 5 (5 Innings)
The Robins started the final week of the regular season with a 20-5 victory over the Osseo Orioles, pushing their overall record to 7-0. The Robins' bats were hot throughout the entire game, helping them put runs on the board in every inning. After putting 5 runs on the board in the first inning, Tim Kraske stepped to the plate with the bases loaded in the second inning and hit his third Grand Slam of the season. He finished the game 2-2 with 6 RBI. Ashley Bailey was 4-4 with 2 runs scored, Kati Fobes was 2-2 with 2 runs scored, Jenna Stolarek-Houston was 2-2 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI, Josh Klein was 2-2 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI, and Jesse Klein was 3-3 with 1 run scored and 3 RBI. The Robins will finish the regular season with home games on Wednesday and Thursday against Anoka and Dakota. |

ROBINS 13 ANOKA-HENNEPIN 1 (5 Innings)
Tonight, the Robins continued their march towards a perfect regular season with a convincing 13-1 victory over the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs. The Robins took control of this game early, and led 9-0 before the Mustangs were able to put their only run on the scoreboard. Juey Mullen had the hot bat tonight, going 3-3 with 3 RBI for the Robins. Ashley Bailey was 3-3 with 2 runs scored, Steven Halsey and Josh Klein both were 3-3 with 3 runs scored and 1 RBI, Tim Kraske was 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI and Alex Stoiaken was 2-2 with 3 RBI. Jesse Klein pitched all 5 innings, allowing just 8 hits and 1 run. |

ROBINS 8 DAKOTA UNITED 6
Tonight, the Robins finished off their perfect 9-0 regular season with a hard fought 8-6 victory over the Dakota United Hawks. The Robins led 6-1 going into the 5th inning when the Hawks made their charge. They scored 3 times in the 5th and 2 more times in the 6th to tie the game at 6. In the bottom of the 6th inning, the Robins managed 2 runs on 5 hits to take an 8-6 lead, but the game wasn't over yet. With one runner on in the 7th, Josh Klein made a sliding catch to record the first out and save a run. Two batters later, Klein once again made a fantastic diving catch to record the second out, then fired the ball to Josh Buell at first base to complete the double play and allow the Robins to claim the conference championship and the State Tournament's #1 seed. Ashley Bailey was 3-3 with a sacfifice, a run scored and an RBI; Tim Kraske was 3-4 with 2 RBI and Steven Halsey was 3-4 with a run and 2 RBI. CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT SEASON, ROBINS!!! |
