ROBINS 8 MAPLE GROVE 0
The Robins got the 2006 regular season off to a great start with an 8-0 victory over the Maple Grove Crimson. The Robins took charge of the game early on and were able to get all of their players involved in one way or another. The Robins led 4-0 after one period, with Chris Schumacher scoring all three of his goals within the first 14 minutes. The Robins led 7-0 after two periods, and added their final goal with less than four minutes remaining in the game. Hopkins ninth grader Isaac Schreurs scored his first goal as a Robin in just his third shift on the floor. Also scoring for the Robins were: Tim Kraske (1 goal, 1 assist), Josh Klein (2 assists), Erin Nickell (2 assists), Brian Kraske (1 goal), Joey Mullen (1 goal), Cassee Cannata (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jesse Klein (1 assist). Alex Stoiaken was credited with the win and the shutout by stopping the only shot on goal that the Crimson were able to get. |

ROBINS 8 ROCHESTER 7
The Robins improved to 2-0 on the season with an amazingly exciting 8-7 victory over the Rochester Raiders. The Robins fell behind 2-0 by the mid-point of the first period, but rallied to tie it at 2 before the period ended. Most of the second period was scoreless, until the Raiders started the scoring with less than 5 minutes remaining in the period. The Robins were able to answer, but then allowed another goal less than 20 seconds later, and trailed 4-3 at the end of two periods. The Raiders moved ahead 5-3 early in the third period, but then the Robins came to life, and scored four times in less than four minutes. The Raiders responded with two goals in less than 30 seconds to tie it at 7. The Robins were awarded a power-play with less than one minute left in the game, and quickly took advantage, with Josh Klein scoring the game winner with just 30 seconds remaining. Klein finished the game with 5 goals and 1 assist, while Chris Schumacher finished with 3 goals and 1 assist. Joey Mullen recorded 4 assists, and Jesse Klein and Tim Kraske finished with 1 assist each. In the JV game, the Robins scored early and often, defeating the Raiders 7-0. Scoring goals for the Robins were James Sneltjes, Cassee Cannata, Brian Kraske, Ethan Brenna and Jesse Klein. |

ROBINS 10 BRAINERD 2
Tonight, the Robins thoroughly dominated the Brainerd Warriors 10-2 and improved their regular season record to 3-0. The game was close after one period, with the Robins leading 2-1. The Robins really improved their play on both sides of the puck in the second period, and led 6-1 after two periods. The solid all-around play continued throughout the third period, resulting in the 10-2 final score. The Robins played tonight’s game without a few teammates who had to miss the game for various reasons, but the team’s bench carried the weight of the extra workload quite nicely. Jesse Klein, starting in place of Joey Mullen, had a great game and finished with four assists. Josh Klein carried most of the scoring workload, finishing the game with four goals and two assists, while Chris Schumacher played a great all-around game by using his smart play and great leadership in combination with his two goals and one assist to help push the Robins to victory. Also scoring for the Robins were: Tim Kraske (2 goals), James Sneltjes (1 goal, 2 assists), Kati Fobes (1 goal), Ashley Bailey (1 assist), Ethan Brenna (1 assist) and Steven Halsey (1 assist). Alex Stoiaken did a great job of holding off the Warrior’s attack, finishing the game with 8 saves. |

ROBINS 3 DAKOTA UNITED 10
The Robins’ three game winning streak came to an end tonight with a 10-3 loss to the Dakota United Hawks. For much of the night, the game was closer than the final score indicates. The Robins were in charge for the entire first period, scoring two power play goals, narrowly missing on several other scoring opportunities and finishing the period with a 3-2 lead. The second period started out well for the Robins, but eventually, mistakes by the Robins and the strength of the Hawks roster became too much to overcome. The Robins trailed 6-3 entering the third period, but just couldn’t seem to break through the Hawks’ tough defense to generate some momentum for themselves. Josh Klein finished the game with one goal and two assists, Tim Kraske finished with one goal and one assist, and Chris Schumacher also finished with one goal and one assist. Jesse Klein, Kati Fobes, Ethan Brenna, Jenna Stolarek and Ashley Bailey all played solid games defensively and helped to keep the Robins in the game through the first two periods. The Robins JV squad played a great game against the Hawks, and nearly came away with a victory before settling for a 1-1 tie. James Sneltjes scored the Robins lone goal, which appeared to be the game winner until the Hawks netted the tying goal with just over one minute remaining in the game. Cassee Cannata, Erin Nickell, Brian Kraske, Zach Thuleen, Keith Breding and Misha Eletsky all played extremely well and continue to make great strides in their skill development. |

ROBINS 13 MOUNDS VIEW 2
Tonight, the Robins improved their regular season record to 4-1 with a 13-2 victory over the Mounds View Rams. The Robins took charge of the game early in the first period and never looked back from there. This game was a total team effort, with 9 different players scoring goals, while no single player scored more than two goals. Recording points for the Robins were: Tim Kraske (2 goals, 3 assists), Chris Schumacher (2 goals, 2 assists), Joey Mullen (2 goals), Kati Fobes (2 goals, 1 assist), Josh Klein (1 goal, 2 assists), Jesse Klein (1 goal, 2 assists), Ethan Brenna (1 goal, 1 assist), Erin Nickell (1 goal, 1 assist), Brian Kraske (1 goal), Steven Halsey (1 assist) and Cassee Cannata (1 assist). Alex Stoiaken played another great game at goalie, making many great saves while allowing just two goals. |

ROBINS 12 HUDSON 8
Tonight the Robins pushed their regular season record to 5-1 with a 12-8 victory over the Hudson Raiders. The Robins picked up the win despite not playing their best all around game. Simple mistakes and, at times, soft defensive play helped the Raiders stay in this game, but the Robins were able to muster up enough offensive power to propel themselves to victory. Three Robins recorded hat-tricks tonight, with Chris Schumacher leading the way. Schumacher finished with four goals and four assists, while Josh Klein was not far behind with three goals and three assists. Tim Kraske rounded out the hat-trick of hat-tricks with three goals and two assists. Joey Mullen had a great game as well, finishing with two goals and two assists, while Steven Halsey picked up two assists and Cassee Cannata finished with one assist. Jesse Klein, Kati Fobes, James Sneltjes, Misha Eletsky, Jenna Stolarek and Ethan Brenna also made solid contributions for the Robins. |

ROBINS 2 ANOKA-HENNEPIN 8
The Robins struggled a bit offensively and defensively this evening and lost to the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs 8-2. The speed and intensity of the Mustangs, combined with the six day lay-off definitely had an affect on the Robins overall play. The Robins trailed 3-0 after one period, 4-1 after two periods and then appeared as if they were going to mount a comeback after making the score 4-2 just seconds into the third period, but then fatigue and frustration seemed to set in. Tim Kraske and Josh Klein scored goals for the Robins, while Chris Schumacher finished the game with 2 assists. Despite the 8-2 final score, goalie Alex Stoiaken played one of her better all around games and continues to make great improvements in all aspects of her game |

ROBINS 10 WHITE BEAR 0
The Robins returned to their winning ways tonight with a 10-0 victory over the White Bear Lake Bears. The Robins played this game without Chris Schumacher and Keith Breding, but still managed to take control and put the game away early on. The game was a total team effort, with everyone getting involved in one way or another. Seven different Robins scored goals in this game, with Josh Klein leading the way (2 goals, 4 assists). Also scoring for the Robins were: Joey Mullen (2 goals, 1 assist), Steven Halsey (3 assists), Tim Kraske (2 goals), Ethan Brenna (1 goal, 1 assist), Jesse Klein (1 goal), Cassee Cannata (1 assist), Jenna Stolarek-Houston (1 goal, 3 assists), Brian Kraske (1 assist) and Erin Nickell (1 goal). Alex Stoiaken earned her second shut-out of the season by stopping both of the Bears’ shots on goal. |

ROBINS 8 SOUTH SUBURBAN 7
Tonight the Robins put forth a great effort, staged one of the greatest comebacks in team history, and defeated the South Suburban Flyers 8-7. The comeback that made this finish so great involved the Robins scoring 3 goals in the last 1:38 of the game. The Robins had a solid first period, leading 2-1 at the end of the period. The second period involved a fair amount of scoring by both teams, but the Robins still led 5-4. South Suburban took a 7-5 lead about halfway through the third period, and seemed to be in control. Tim Kraske scored the Robins’ sixth goal of the game with 1:38 remaining, and the comeback was on. The Robins went on a power-play with 1:20 left in the game, and took advantage of the Flyers penalty with Kraske scoring again with just 25 seconds left to tie the game. The game seemed destined for overtime, but Joey Mullen followed a shot by Chris Schumacher and stuffed the game winner into the Flyers’ net with 1 second left in the game. In the JV game, the Robins JV squad took control with a goal from Cassee Cannata in the first minute of the game, and cruised to a 5-1 victory. The entire JV line-up put forth great efforts of both ends of the floor. Cassee Cannata led the game with three goals, Erin Nickell played some solid defense and finished with one goal and one assist, and James Sneltjes played a great all-around game and finished with one goal. Brian Kraske also played a great all-around game and finished with one assist. Also making solid contributions for the Robins were Jenna Stolarek-Houston and Misha Eletsky. |

Tonight the Robins picked up their 8th win of the season with a 9-6 victory over the Tigers of Minneapolis South. The Robins led 5-1 early in the second period when the Tigers came to life and got to within one goal at 5-4. The Robins battled their way through a few penalties early in the third period before finally putting the game away. Tim Kraske led the Robins with 3 goals and 4 assists, while Josh Klein finished with 3 goals and 1 assist. Also recording points for the Robins were: Joey Mullen (2 assists), Chris Schumacher (1 goal, 2 assists), Jesse Klein (1 goal, 1 assist) and Steven Halsey (1 goal). The Robins have now wrapped up their road games for this season and will conclude the 2006 season with 2 games at home next week. |

The Robins ran their winning streak to four games tonight with a 12-1 victory over the St. Paul Humboldt Hawks. The Robins started strong, posting six goals in the first period, while Humboldt picked up just one. The Robins added four goals in the second and two more in the third to seal the victory. Tonight’s game was a complete team effort, with eleven Robins recording points and virtually everyone making contributions in one way or another. ROBINS 16 WAYZATA-MINNETONKA 1
Tonight the Robins wrapped up the 2006 regular season with their fifth consecutive victory, beating the Wayzata-Minnetonka Lakers 16-1. As was the case in their last game against Humboldt, every Robin made a contribution tonight. Twelve Robins recorded points in this game, including the setting of a couple team milestones by senior Chris Schumacher. Schumacher finished the game with 2 goals and 5 assists. The two goals pushed him ahead of former Robin, Mike Boss, as the team’s all-time leading goal scorer with 113 career regular season goals. Schumacher also finished the season as the Robins’ all-time points leader with 171 career points. Jenna Stolarek-Houston (2 goals) and Erin Nickell (2 goals) both played one of the best all around games of their young Robins careers. Also recording points for the Robins were: Tim Kraske (1 goal, 2 assists), Josh Klein (2 goals, 1 assist), Jesse Klein (2 assists), Ethan Brenna (1 goal), Cassee Cannata (2 goals, 1assist), Joey Mullen (2 goals), Steven Halsey (1 goal, 1 assist), Keith Breding (1 assist) and Misha Eletsky (1 goal). State Tournament: ROBINS 8 ROCHESTER 2
The Robins picked up a win in their opening game of the 2006 Adapted Floor Hockey State Tournament by thoroughly dominating the Rochester Raiders by a score of 8-2. The Robins did a great job of getting an early lead and taking complete control of the game, and led 6-1 after the first period. This game turned out to be the Robins most complete game of the 2006 season, with outstanding passing, defense and teamwork. Josh Klein led the Robins with 2 goals and 3 assists, while Chris Schumacher and Joey Mullen both finished with 2 goals and 1 assist. Also scoring goals for the Robins were Cassee Cannata and Steven Halsey. |

State Tournament: ROBINS 1 DAKOTA UNITED 5
The Robins faced the two-time defending state champion Dakota United Hawks in the semi-finals and battled hard, but came away with a 5-1 loss. The Robins were able to match the Hawks play for play for two entire periods, finishing the second period with the score tied at 1. In the third period, the Robins made a couple small mistakes, the Hawks took advantage of them and put the game away. Joey Mullen scored the Robins’ lone goal, while Josh Klein earned the assist. |

State Tournament: ROBINS 5 SOUTH SUBURBAN 6
In the third place game, the Robins once again battled hard, but couldn’t overcome a couple of small mistakes and lost to the Flyers of South Suburban, 6-5. The game was tied at 1 after the first period, and the Flyers had a 4-2 lead after 2 periods. The Robins battled back in the third, scoring a couple of late goals to make it 6-5, but were unable to get a game-tying goal before time ran out. Josh Klein led the way for the Robins, finishing with 2 goals and 1 assist. Tim Kraske finished with 2 goals, and Jesse Klein finished with 1. Joey Mullen and Chris Schumacher both finished with 1 assist. |
