TOURNAMENT: ROBINS 3 HUMBOLDT 4 (OT)
The Robins made it to the championship
game for the second straight year, and for the second time lost
4-3. The Robins led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Keith Abram,
but fell behind 3-1 by the middle of the second half. Kevin
Devine made it 3-2 with a goal with just under six minutes remaining.
It stayed 3-2 until Mike Boss intercepted a Humboldt pass and
fired it into the back of the net with just 30 seconds remaining
in the game. Both teams had their chances to put it away during
the overtime period, but neither one could do it, and the game
was decided by a shoot-out. The Robins out-shot Humboldt 59-38,
but the Hawks goalkeeper was just too tough. Chris Schumacher
played an excellent game in the net for the Robins, saving 34
of 38 shots. CONGRATULATIONS ROBINS, YOU HAVE A LOT TO BE PROUD
OF!!

1 WHITE BEAR LAKE 0
The Robins had an extremely difficult finish to this year's
regular season, but still managed to come away victorious. The
Robins fought hard against a very determined White Bear Lake
squad, and came away with a 1-0 victory. This was by far the
closest game the team had played all season, with a halftime
score of 0-0...Mike Boss and Michelle Boss teamed up to net
the Robins only goal of the game. Michelle scored the game winner
with just under 11 minutes remaining, and Mike was given credit
for the assist. The Robins out-shot the Bears 45-20, but had
a difficult time finding openings around the White Bear goalkeeper.
Chris Schumacher recorded his second consecutive shutout, and
helped the Robins to a 9-1 regular season record. The Robins
seem to be a sure thing for the second place slot in the State
Tournament, but keep checking back for the regular season final
standings. Great season guys!!! Keep up the hard work!!!

3 SOUTH SUBURBAN 0
With the regular season winding down, the Robins continued
to stay hot with a 3-0 victory over a greatly improved South
Suburban squad. The Robins came into this game shorthanded as
a few players were missing for various reasons, but the rest
of the team played well enough to get the win. This game wasn't
the teams' most overpowering performance of the season, but
the biggest factor in the win was the goaltending of freshman
Chris Schumacher. Chris stopped all 22 shots he faced, and recorded
his first career shutout. Mike Boss scored the Robins' only
first half goal, and Kevin Devine scored early in the second
half to make it 2-0. This is the way the game stayed until the
final minute when Nu Yang tacked on an insurance goal off a
pass from Devine with just under 1 minute remaining. The Robins
are now 8-1, and have one final game remaining against White
Bear Lake.

11 MOUNDSVIEW 2
The Robins kept their hot streak going again tonight with an
11-2 win over Moundsview. The team has now won 6 consecutive
games, and is in position to lock up second place in the conference
with just two games left on their regular season schedule. Mike
Boss led the Robins in scoring once again by scoring 3 goals
and 2 assists. Keith Abram and Becky Vahakangas both added 2
goals and 2 assists, while Kati Fobes and Kevin Devine added
1 goal and 1 assist each. Michelle Boss scored two goals, and
Josh Buell had 2 assists. Chris Schumacher continued to play
well in the net, stopping all nine shots he faced in the first
half. Becky Vahakangas took over in the second half and allowed
just two goals on 14 shots. The Robins offense continues to
pressure the opposing defense, and it showed tonight as they
out-shot the Rams 41-23. Keep working hard Robins...the State
Tournament is just around the corner!

4 DAKOTA UNITED 3
The Robins faced a very tought Dakota United squad, fought
hard and came away with a 4-3 victory at home. After losing
5 seniors after last season, the Hawks came into the game undefeated
and ready to challenge a determined Robins squad. This game
was a great rematch of last years' state championship game,
but this time there definitely was a different outcome. Kevin
Devine and Keith Abram both scored twice for the Robins, and
Mike Boss added an assist. It was the first time all season
that Boss was held without a goal, but he still made his presence
felt with his strong all around play. The Robins continued to
pressure their oppositions' goalkeepers, and posted 59 shots
on goal for the game. Goalie Chris Schumacher faced a much tougher
challenge in this game and responded well with 21 saves on 24
shots. The Robins are now 6-1 and are in second place in the
conference.

10 PARK CENTER 1
The Robins stayed hot on Monday, October 7th and came up with
their biggest win of the season. The Robins faced their biggest

Mike Boss contributed three goals, and Adam Moles also found
the net twice for the Robins. Freshman goalie, Chris Schumacher,
continued to improve his goal tending skills as he made 21 saves

were absolutley outstanding. The team is now 5-1, and currently
battling for second place. The Robins have just four games left
before the state tournament, with their next game coming at

Fobes and Dan Buddy all scored two goals. Mike Boss recorded
a team high four assists while Adam Moles finished with three
