Robins 3- Maple Grove 18
The Robins lost to Maple Grove in the first hockey game of the season with a score of 3-18. According to the coaches the score doesn't indicate the quality of play that the Robins showed in their opener. Playing in his first game as a Robins forward Dillon Platzer had 1 assist but helped the Robins with their over all defense. Scoring 2 points for the Robins was William Donnell, who had 2 shots on goal and made both of them. Jonathan Krolak mixed it up making 1 goal and 1 assist while making 4 shots on goal. Laura Nelson made one assist to round out the Robins scoring. While the Robins are in the building year, Maple Rove has a team strong in seniors and veteran players. Also playing for the Robins were Brittany Bern who started in goal and had 9 saves, Steven Snodgrass as goalie had 15 saves, and Brandon Worth who while in goal made 2 saves. Jennifer Dorr showed great versatility playing both offense and defense. Alyssa Duerre played in her first hockey game to round out the Robins roster. The Robins travel to North Suburban tomorrow for a 4:30pm game.

Robins 3 vs North Suburban 15
The Robins lost to North Suburban 3-15. Dillon Platzer had 15 shots on goal and made 1; William Donnell had 6 shots on goal and made 1 goal while Steven Snodgrass made one shot on goal. Captain Jonathan Krolak made 5 shots on goal making 1 goal and 1 assist. Shernell Davis had 1 shot on goal but delivered great defense for the Robins. Steven Snograss started out as goalie and had 2 saves, Brandon Worth while goalie had 4 saves and Brittany Bern while goalie had 1 save. Brandon Worth also played defense while Brittany and Steven took a turn at wing. Jennifer Dorr once again played both offense and defense and is finding a home at wing. Laura Nelson and Alyssa Duerre each played wing to round out the Robins offensive play. The Robins showed improvement in their passing game as well as their defensive play. The Robins have their first home game of the season next Thursday, January 18th.

Robins 15 - Wayzata 18
The Robins lost a close game tonight against Wayzata with a score of 15-18. Steven Snodgrass started in goal and had 6 saves, Brandon Worth while in goal made 19 saves. William Donnell made 3 goals with 1 assist with 3 shots on goal while shooting 11 shots on goal. Dillon Platzer made 6 goalies with 3 assists while shooting 18 shots on goal, while Greg Platzer made 4 goals with 4 assists while shooting 18 shots on goal. Jonathan Krolak made 2 goals while shooting 9 shots on goal. Alyssa Duerre made 1 assist. Brittany Bern made 1 shot on goal. Also playing for the Robins were Captain Shernell Davis who played defense, Jennifer Dorr who played both defense and offense, and Laura Nelson who took her turn offensively as wing. The Robins started off slow but soon started to catch up and kept even with Wayzata. At the top of the 3rd period Wayzata started to pull ahead but the Robins answered to pull within 1 point Wayzata again went ahead by 2 back to 1 point difference before Wayzata went ahead by 3 point to end the game.

Robins 1- St. Cloud 15
The Robins lost a difficult game to St. Cloud with William Donnell taking 6 shots on goal, Dillon Platzer and Greg Platzer each with 6 hots on goal with Greg making as assisted goal to Jonathan Krolak who made the only goal of the evening. Jonathan's goal was his only shot on goal. Laura Nelson made 1 shot on goal. Also playing for the Robins was Brandon Worth in defense, Brittany Bern in goal, Jennifer Dorr, Steven Snodgrass, Alyssa Duerre and Shernell Davis. The Robins have a home game at Hosterman on Thursday against Anoka.

Robins 3- Anoka 12
The Robins lost a hard fought game against Anoka losing 3-15. The score doesn't indicate the quality of play demonstrated by the Robins. Captain Jonathan Krolak had a great game shooting 6 and scoring 3 for 50%. Greg Platzer shot 5 goals and had 2 assist, Dillion Platzer shot once and made 2 assist. Steven Snodgrass had 1 shot on goal. Highlights of the evening was the great job that Dillon Platzer did in goal with 14 saves. Replaced in the second period by William Donnell who did an equally great job with 19 assists. Also playing for the Robins was Brandon Worth in defense, Shernell Davis who played both defense and offense and injured her shoulder during the game. Jennifer Dorr, Steven Snodgrass, Brittany Bern, Laura Nelson each played both offense and defense. Alyssa Duerre played wing. The Robins are managed by Josh Buell. The coaches feel that the Robins are developing and it is a matter of time before they come forth with a victory. Great job Robins.

Robins 9-Moundsview 5
The Robins lost a hard fought game with Moundsview at Moundsview tonight with a score of 5-9. By the end of the first period the Robins were tied with Moundsview. Dillon Platzer started out in goal and had 9 saves. During the second period Greg Platzer was in goal with 17 saves and Moundsview scored to move ahead by a few goals. The Robins answered with a goal at the beginning of the 3rd period when William Donnell took his turn in goal. William had 13 saves while in goal. Coach Engler found a home for Brandon Worth playing defense close to the center line allowing Brandon to make 5 shots on goal. William Donnell had 3 shots on goal and 1 assist. Dillon Platzer had 7 shots on goal with 1 assist. Greg Platzer had 11 shots on goal making 4 goals and 1 assist. Jonathan Krolak made 9 shots on goal with one goal and 1 assist. Brandon Worth's 5 shots on goal came late in the 3rd period. Brittany Bern had 1 shot on goal. Also in the mix were Laura Nelson and Steven Snodgrass who stepped up on defense when Brandon Worth was in the penalty box. Jennifer Dorr was coach Engler's go to girl playing a much need defensive position with the absence tonight of Shernell Davis. With 30 seconds left in the game manager Josh Buell called for a time out. The team talked it over and decided to go for another goal. With 15 seconds to play Jonathan Krolak answered with an assit from Greg Platzer. Also missing tonight for the Robins was Alyssa Duerre

Robins 4-Maple Grove 11
The Robins lost a hard fought game with Maple Grove with a score of 4-11. This was a much improved team who had earlier lost to Maple Grove 3-18. The Robins had 19 shots on goal which was short of the 44 saves that the 3 Robins goalie's made. Letting only 11 shots in William Donnell made 16 saves, Greg Platzer made 25 saves and in the 3rd quarter Dillon Platzer made 5 saves. Dillon had 2 shots on goal making 2 assists during the 1st period to help start the Robins off offensively. William Donnell made 3 shots on goal Greg Platzer made 7 shots on goal and scored all 4 goals. Jonathan Krolak made 5 shots on goal and had 2 assists. Brittany Bern made 1 shot on goal. Alyssa Duerre made 1 shot on goal. Jennifer Dorr played defense much of the game. Laura Nelson with a knee injury played wing. The coaching staff commented on the great improvement in play that the Robins have shown as we enter the second half of the season. Cheerleading coach Karen Krossow and the cheerleaders have started to plan the Banquet for soccer and hockey which is set for March 23, 2007. The Robins play at home again on this Thursday, Feb 8.

Robins 13- North Suburban 12 in overtime
The Robins defeated North Suburban 13-12 in sudden death overtime for the Robins first victory of the hockey season and the 2006-2007 school year. Breaking the losing streak with a great game at home, the Robins had great play by the whole team. William Donnell started out in goal and made 8 saves in the first period. The Robbins came from behind 3-1 to tie it up 3-3 with 4 minutes to go in the first period. Greg Platzer went in goal the second period and had 7 saves. Dillon Platzer went in goal with 2 minutes left of the second period and had 14 saves as the score went back and forth. Greg Platzer made 8 goals on 14 shots and had 2 assists. William Donn made 2 goals on 4 shots with 4 assists. William had a great offensive game to keep the Robins in the game and tie it up in the 3rd period. Jonathan krolak had 5 shots on goal and made 2 goals and 4 assists to be an important part of the offense. Jonathan also played defense close to the center line feeding the puck to the offense. Jennifer Dorr once again played defense and offense to be a great all around team player. Brandon Worth had an excellent game in defense sending the puck down court time after time. Brandon had 1 assist. Laura Nelson played wing and had 1 shot on goal, Brittany Bern played wing and had 1 assist. Shernell Davis played defense for a short time in 2nd and short time in 3rd period with a recovering ankle injury. Alyass Duerre played goal to round out the Robins offense. Josh Buel helped coach Engel and Silbaugh with a key time out to give the Robins the need rest. The Robins tied the game with 41 seconds to play in the game and as the teams went into sudden death overtime, center Greg Platzer mad his final goal to give the Robins their victory. Any exited team and happy coaches and parents celebrated as the players shock hands with North Suburban. The Robins travel Monday Feb 12th to Wayzata. They play home again Feb 15th against a strong St. Cloud team. The Robins last away game of the regular season is changed to Feb 22nd at Anoka. The team will have parent night at home Tuesday February 27,2007 to finish their regular season. Playoffs will be the second week in March.

Robins 19- Wayzata 0
The Robins won their second game and second game in a row against Wayzata 19-0. The fact is that the Robins played a well rounded game with Dillon Platzer making 6 goals and 1 assist, William Donnell scoring 3 goals and 3 assists, Greg Platzer making 5 goals and 3 assists, Jonathan Krolak making 4 goals and 2 assists, and Jennifer Dorr making one goal. Brandon Worth made 1 assist. Laura Nelson made 1 shot on goal and had 1 assist. Brittany Bern made one shot on goal. Shernell Davis played great defense and Alyssa Duerre played wing to round out the Robins defense. While in goal William Donnell made 8 saves, Greg Platzer while in goal had no shots made on him, and Dillon Platzer while in goal made 5 saves. Brandon Worth went in goal in the 3rd quarter with about 5 and 1/2 minutes to play and made 1 save. Coach Engler was pleased and surprised at the improvement in play the Robins have made. The Robins have 3 more regular season games and a playoff game left of the hockey season.

Robins 3- St. Cloud 11
The Robins lost a hard fought game to first place St. Cloud with a score of 3-11 at home. Dillion Platzer had 5 shots on goal and made 1 goal. William Donnell had 7 shots on goal and made 1 and had 1 assist. Greg Platzer had 12 shots on goal and made 1 assist . Greg also had a high sticking foul and spent time in the penalty box. Brandon worth had 1 shot on goal. Brittany Bern made 1 shot on goal. Steven Snodgrass made 1 shot on goal and made that 1 goal. Jennifer Dorr played both defense and offense. Laura Nelson played wing, Shernell David played defense coming out of the game with a sore back. Jonathan Krolak, captain of the team had 2 shots on goal and made 1 assist. While in goal William Donnell made 13 saves while in goal; Greg Platzer made 12 saves, and Dillion Platzer made 6 saves will in goal for the 3rd period. Defensively the Robins had a great game. Offensively they faced the toughest goalie in the North conference. The Robins travel to Anoka February 22 and they have their final home game February 27th. their final home game will be parent night for the Robins. March 7th the Robins have a playoff game as the season comes to a close.

Robins 0-Anoka 15
Robins lost to Anoka with a score of 0-15. It was a difficult lose for the Robins who were missing the Platzer brothers. William Donnell had 2 shots on goal and 24 saves while in goal. Jonathan Krolak had 4 shots on goal and lead the Robins in scoring but was unable to convert it to a score. Jennifer Door and Brittany Bern each had 2 shots on goal. Brandon Worth and Laura nelson each had 1 shot on goal. Also playing for the Robins were Steven Snodgrass and Shernell Davis. Brandon Worth replaced William in goal and had 9 saves in the 3rd period. The Robins have their parent appreciation and last regular game of the season Tuesday February 27th. Looking ahead the Robins will have a play off game with a team from the South conference on March 7th.

Robins 4- Moundsview 10
The Robins hosted Moundsview tonight at the final home hockey game of the regular season. It was Parent Appreciation night and each player and cheerleader gave their parent/s a red rose in appreciation along with a hug. The Robins stayed close for the first two periods. Dillion Platzer had 6 shots on goal but was unable to convert to goal. William Donnell started in goal and made 17 saves. When in the middle of the second period he became a wing and later center he had 4 shots on goal. Greg Platzer was the Robins high scorer with 10 shots on goal and 2 goals. Senior Captain Jonathan Krolak made 6 shots on goal and scored once and had 1 assist. Steven Snodgrass made 1 shot on goal and scored that shot. Also playing for the Robins were Jennifer Dorr who played both defense and offense, Brandon Worth who from defense shot 3 times on goal, Laura Nelson who played win and early in the 3rd period had her debut performance on defense. Brittany Bern, and Senior Alyssa Duerre both played wing. Senior Shernell Davis played defensive and helped keep Moundsview from scoring in the second 5 minutes of the first period. Seniors Krolak, Davis and Duerre were given senior medals by Coach Jim. The Robins cheerleaders Margaret and Samantha Aune and Anna Robinson each gave their parents a red rose. Cheerleader manager Katie Holm gave her dad a rose. The Robins thank Karen Krossow for 7 years of coaching the cheerleaders. Besides thanking their parents the Robins players thanked Manager Josh Buel. Next week the Robins travel for a play off game. If they win they would make it to the state tournament.
