Robins 10 - Anoka 8
In the Consolation Championship the Robins defeated Anoka 10-8 at 1:30pm on Saturday June 5th. The Robins started the game of with 1,2,3 out in the top of the first inning. They started hitting in the second inning. Josh Bell had 3 run on 4 hits, Tim Johnson 2 runs on 3 hits while Jonathan Krolak made 2 runs on 2 hits. Andy Bell and Sam Harrington each had 1 run on 3 hits. Also batting for the Robins was Dustin Peterson, Reggie Nelson each with 3 up to bat times, while Ryan Degner had 1 hit, and Kyle Guttenberger had 3 hits and 1 run in. Rounding out the Robins roster was Ari Carlson, Brittany Bern, Jason Dorr and Stacey Anthony. The 2 captains for the State tournament were the 2 Seniors Tim Johnson, Reggie Nelson who the Robins will miss along with Student Manager Senior Mary Devine. Great job Robins on a repeat Consolation Championship.
Robins 13 - South Suburban 3 in 5 innings
In the second game of the State softball tournament the Robins defeated South Suburban 13-3 in 5 innings. Jacob Yurick, and Tim Johnson each had 3 runs on 3 hits while Jonathan Krolak had 2 runs on 2 hits. Andy Bell, Josh Bell, Sam Harrington, Dustin Peterson and Ryan Degner each made 1 run. Josh and Andy on 3 hits and Sam , Dustin and Ryan on 2 hits each. Also playing for the Robins was Reggie nelson, Stacey Anthony, Kyle Guttenberger and Brittany Bern. Brittany walked to first to bring in the winning run for the Robins. Also playing a supporting roll for the Robins was Ari Carlson. The Robins moved on to the Consolation Championship with Anoka for a repeat performance from last years Consolation Championship.
Robin 4 - Dakota 11
In the first game of the State Softball tournament the Robins lost to Dakota 11-4. Scoring for the Robins with 1 run each was Jacob Yurick, Andy Bell Ryan Degner, and Sam Harrington. Andy Bell had a homerun. The Robins and Dakota were tied through the 3rd inning. Dakota score one in the 4th and the Robins couldn't answer after loading the bases. Dakota made 5 runs in the 5th inning and the Robins could only answer with 2 inthe 6th. Dakota finished the game in the bottom of the 6th with 3 more runs to win the game. Jacob Yurick, Andy Bell and Josh Bell had 2 hits, Tim Johnson and Jonathan Krolak had 3 hits while Ryan Degner, Nikki Crawford, Dustin Peterson and Kyle Guttenberger each had 1 hit. The Robins move on to the consolation bracket playing South Suburban at 9:00am Saturday morning. Good luck Robins!
Robins 2 - Wayzata 2 in 5 innings Playoffs
The Robins defeated Wayzata 20-2 in 5 innings in the playoff game to advance to the State Tournament at Coon Rapids. Andy Bell scored 3 times. Tim Johnson, Jonathan Krolak, Ryan Degner, Sam Harrington and Josh Bell each scored twice. Dustin Peterson, Kyle Guttenberger, Tom Smith, Brittany and Nikki Crawford each scored once. Andy, Ryan, Sam and Josh each had a homerun. Jacob, Jonathan, Ryan, and Andy had 3 hits. Josh, and Tim had 2 hits while Nikki, Dustin, Sam , Brittany Bern, Reggie Nelson and Kyle each had 1 hit. Having a big hit for the Robins Was Brittany Bern to keep the play alive in the 4th inning. Also playing for the Robins were Stacy Anthony, Tom Smith, Ari Carlson and Jason Dorr. The Robins move on to the State Adapted Softball tournament the weekend of June 4th and 5th. Good luck Robins
Robins 1 - Mpls 14
The Robins varsity lost there last softball game of the regular season to Minneapolis Roosevelt 1-14. The Robins had difficulty getting into the game. They never really got their offense started. Defensively they were having difficulty also because they started the game without their regular first base person. Dustin Peterson had a great catch at 3rd base from the outfield and Andy Bell with a nice hit to center field brought in the only score for the Robins with a homerun. The Robins record for the regular season ends at 7-4 as they look to a playoff game at Cooper High school against Wayzata on Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. Good luck Robins in the playoffs and hopefully at State tournament.
Robins 13 - Moundsview 5
The Robins defeated Moundsview 13-5 in the final home game of the season. Jacob Yurick had 4 hits 2 runs. Tim Johnson had 2 hits 1 run, Jonathon Krolak had 4 hits 1 run. Andy Bell had 2 hits 1 run. Ryan Degner had 2 hits 2 runs. Sam Harrington also had 2 hits 2 runs. Nikki Crawford had 1 hits 1 run. Josh Bell who had a good fielding game had 2 hits. Stacey Anthony had 1 hit 1 run and Kyle Guttenberger had 2 hits 1 run. Reggie Nelson, Dustin Peterson and Tom Smith rounded out the Robins offense while Ari Carlson, Brittany Bern and Jason Dorr provide much need support for the team. The Robins have one more regular game of the season where they travel to Minneapolis on Monday afternoon. The Robins will have a change of site for the next 2 weeks. They will be playing games and practicing at Cooper High School. The play off game will be either Wednesday May 26th or Thursday May 27th and upon winning the play off game the Robins would advance to the State Tournament in Coon Rapids. The Robins would then have their last practice before tournament on June 2nd. Good luck Robins and we hope to see them at the State Tournament.
Robins 16 - Anoka 4 in 5 innings
The Robins defeated Anoka 16-4 in 5 innings at Anoka High School. Tim Johnson had 4 hits, 3 runs, Ryan Degner had 3 hits, 3 runs, while Josh Bell hit a homerun, along with Jacob Yurick, and Jonathan Krolak all three had 3 hits with 2 runs each. Andy Bell who had a great pitching and fielding game had 4 hits, 2 runs. Sam Harrington and Stacey Anthony each hit 2 hits, with 1 run each. Dustin Peterson had 3 hits and Kyle Guttenberger had 2 hits to round out the Robins offense. This brings the Robins record to 6 wins 3 losses. The last home game of the regular season is this Thursday at Hosterman. The Robins travel to Minneapolis Monday for the last game of the regular season.
The Robins JV defeated the Anoka JV 6-1. Brittany Bern, Ari Carlson, Tom Smith, Stacey Anthony and Jason Dorr each had 1 run for the Robins. Jonathan Krolak, Reggie Nelson and Trevin Rawls each had 1 hit to round out the offense for the Robins JV. Sam Harrington did a great job a pitching for the Robins and Stacey had a great game at 1st base.
Robins 14 - North Suburban 3
The Robins defeated North Suburban 14-3in 5 innings at home May 13, 2004. Once again a team effort brought about the victory. Jacob Yurick and Tim Johnson each had 3 hits and 2 runs home. Andy bEll had 2 homeruns, Jonathan Krolak ha 2 hits 1 run and also caught his first foul ball while catching. Ryan Degner had 1 hit 1 run. Sam Harrington had 2 hits 2 runs but his play of the night was a double play tagging the run to second and toughing 1st to get 2 outs by himself. Nikki Crawford hit twice getting out at first and then a tripple. Josh Bell contributed greatly at shortshop and had 2 hits 1 run. Dustin Peterson had a long hit to left field for 2 hits 1 run. Stacey Anthony had 1 hit. Kyle Guttenberger had 2 hits 1 run. Also contributing to the win were Reggie Nelson, and Brittany Bern. Ready to go in the game when the Robins went up by 10 in th 5th were Tom Smith, Ari Carlson, and Jason Dorr.
Robins 18 - St. Paul 6
May 11th the Robins defeated St. Paul Humbolt 18-6 at St. Paul. Leading hitter was Nikki Crawford with 4 hits and 3 runs. This team is very unified in it's scoring. Jacob Yurick had 1 hit 1 run. Tim Johnson, Jonathan Krolak, and Ryan Degner each had 3 htis and 2 runs. Andy Bell who pitched a terrific game and his fielding was outstanding had 3 hits and 3 runs. Josh Bell who also did a good job in the field had 3 hits and 1 run. Stacey Anthony had 1 hit 1 run. Kyle Guttenberger had 1 hit. Reggie Nelson and Dustin Peterson also contributed to a great game.
Robins 12- Dakota 13
The Robins lost to Dakota in the closest game of the season 12-13 in the top of the 7th inning with the tying run on base. Jacob Yurick had 3 hits, 3 runs, Andy Bell had 3 hits 2 runs, Tim Johnson and Jonathan Krolak each had 2 hits and 2 runs. Sam Harrington had 2 hits 1 run, while Ryan Degner and Kyle Guttenberger each had l hit 1 run. Also hitting for the Robins was Nikki Crawford with a couple RBI's. While Dustin Perterson struggled offensively he had a great play on 3rd. Also contributing for the Robins was Reggie Nelson. Brittany Bern, Jason Dorr, Tom Smith and Stacey Anthony join the Dakota JV teams and Jason played catcher and scored once, Brittany scored once, Tom scored once while Stacey had a outstanding game as pitcher for the winning team.
Robins 16 - South Suburban 13
The Robins defeated South Suburban 16-13 at home Tuesday May 5, 2004. Andy Bell, Ryan Degner and Sam Harrington each scored 3 times with Ryan and Sam each having 3 hits and Andy 4 hits for the game. Dustin Peterson and Tim Johnson each scored twice on 3 hits a piece. Jacob Yurick and Josh Bell each had 3 hits scoring once each. Stacey Anthony had 1 hit and scored while Kyle Guttenberger and Jonathan Krolak each hit twice. Tom Smith had one hit. Josh Bell return off injured reserve ended the game with a great play at shortstop. Rounding out the roster for the Robins were Brittany Bern, Ari Carlson and Jason Dorr. This brings the win loss record to 3 and 2 for the Robins. They travel to Dakota on Thursday.
Robins 14 - Wayzata 4
The Robins defeated Wayzata at home with a score of 14-4 in 5 innings. Wayzata opened with 4 runs in the 1st while the Robins answered with 5 in the bottom of the 1st. Wayzata had quiet bats in the 2nd while the Robins racked up another 3 in the 3rd. While Wayzata remained scoreless, the Robins hit another 5 runs in during the 4th inning and 1 run in the 5th to lead Wayzata by 10 runs to end the game at the bottom of the 5th. Jacob Yurick, Ryan Degner, Nikki Crawford and Dustin each scored 2 times on 3 runs each. Jonathan Krolak and Sam Harrington each scored twice off 2 hits each. Tonight Sam Harrington and Nikki Crawford each hit a homerun. Andy Bell and Tim Johnson each came in once off 2 hits apiece. Kyle Guttenberger made 1 hit off 1 run to round out the scoring for the Robins. Also playing for the Robins were Stacey Anthony, Brittany Bern, Tom Smith, Jason Dorr, Ari Carlson, and Trevin Rawls. This brings the Robins record to 2-2.
Robins 12 - Buffalo 2 in 5 innings
The Robins defeated Buffalo 12-2 in 5 innings on Tuesday 4/20/04 at home. Making 3 runs each and leading the Robins in scoring was pitcher Andy Bell and right fielder Jonathan Krolak. Shortstop Kyle Guttenberger made 2 runs. Jacob Yurick, Ryan Degner, Dustin Peterson and Tim Johnson each made 1 run for the Robins. Having another outstanding game on first base tonight was Sam Harrington who had 1 run and flew out twice. Rounding out the roster for the Robins were Brittney Bern, Tom Smith, Reggie Nelson, Ari Carlson, Trevin Rawls and Jason Dorr. Returning off injuried reserve was Stacey Anthony who had 1 hit. Tuesday 4/27/04 the Robins play Wayzata. Tonights victory brings the Robins record to 1-2.
Robins 4 - South Washington 14
The Robins lost their first away game April 13, 2004 to South Washington 4-14 on the ten run rule after 6 innings. Kyle Guggenberger had 2 hits 2 runs, Andy Bell had 2 hits 1 run, Ryan Degner had 2 hits, Dustin Peterson had 1 hit and 1 run while Tom Smith and Tim Johnson each had 1 hit a piece. The Robins played a strong first 3 innings and South Washington came on strong in the 4th to pull ahead. The Robins remained close until the 6th inning when South Washington went ahead by 10 to win the game.
In the first JV game of the season the Robins defeated South Washington 10-5. Pitching for the Robins was Sam Harrington who had a weak start but pulled it together to lead the Robins to victory. Brittany Bern scored 2 from 2 hits, Jason Dorr scored 1 off 2 hits, Reggie Nelson scored 1 off 1 hit, Sam Harrington scored 2 off 2 hits, Johathan scored 2, Tom Smith scored 1 and Dustin Peterson had 2 hits while Nikki Crawford had 1 hit. Newcomer Ari Carlson who came to the Robins by way of the cheerleading squad had 1 hit and 1 run. Senior Daisy Morales played in her first game for the Robins.
Robins 19 - Osseo 24
The Robins lost to Osseo 19-24 in the opeing game of the softball season Thursday April 8, 2004. Andy Bell pitched a great game in his debut as starting pitcher for the Robins. Andy lead the team in RBI's and made 3 runs, Ryan Degner, the Robins left fielder also made 3 runs as well new comer from Hopkins Kyle Guggenberger who played short stop scored 3 times. Senior second baseman Reggie Nelson right fielder Tom Smith, and center fielder Jacob Yurick along with outfielder Jonathan Krolak each made 2 runs for the Robins. Both Sam Harrinton who made his debut on 1st and Nikki Crawford, the designated batter each came in once. Nikki had 4 great hits including 2 tripples. Senior Captain Tim Johnson returned as catcher for the Robins. Dustin Peterson starting as 3rd baseman had a fantastic catch in the 3rd inning. Rounding out the Robins roster were Jason Dorr,newcomers Ari Carlson and Brittany Bern. On the injured reserve list joining the team April 15th is Stacey Anthony and also out recovering from Surgery is short stop Josh Bell. The Robins play Tues April 13th away agsainst South Washington.
