Adapted Floor Hockey Results
Robins 7- St. Paul Humbolt 8
The Robbinsdale Robins were defeated by the St. Paul Humbolt
Hawks in a close contest for the Consolation Championship of
the Adapted Hockey tournament at Stillwater Saturday March 15,
2003. Andy Bell and Josh Bell each made 3 goals. Andy Bell had
an outstanding tournament with Josh not far behind. Senior Angel
Mire had 1 goal and 1 assist. Robins each having one assist
were Sam Harrington, Shawn Wheelock, Mary Devine,Ryan Degner
and Nicole Crawford. Other contributing Robins were Heidi Sunder,
Rachel Strande, Senior Thom Sander. Goalie Time Johnson continued
to have a wonderful tournament with almost 20 saves. This was
a very close game and the Robins finish the season in 6th place.
Jonathon Krolak, Jason Dorr, Tom Smith , Jacob Yurick,and Marni
Manning all help the Robins have a wonderful tournament. The
Robins will miss Seniors Angel Mire, Shawn Wheelock, Thom Sander,
Heidi Sunders and Marni Manning next Hockey season.
Robins 18- Wayzata 8
The Robbinsdale, Hopkins, Mound-Westonka Robins defeated Wayzata
with a score of 18-8 to advance to the Consolation Championship
at Stillwater in the MH State Hockey Tournament. Andy Bell was
the high scorer for the Robins with 9 goals while his twin brother
Josh had 5 goals and 2 assits. with Mary Devine scoring 2 goals
and had 4 assists. Rachel Stande contributed with 1 goal and
1 assist while Heidi Sunders, Ryan Degner, adn Nicole Crawford
had 1 assist each with supporting Robins Shawn Wheelock, Angel
Mire, Thom Sander, Marni Manning, and Jacob Yurick all contributing
members of the Robins team. Other supporting Robins were Hom
Smith, Jason Dorr and Trevin Rawls. Goalie Tim Johnson did a
fantastic job in goal with over 25 saves. Kerry Evan was very
pleased with the great team effort by the Robins.
Robins 7-St. Cloud 11
The Robins lost a heartbreaker at the opening round of the State
Hockey tournament with a score 7 for the Robins versus St. Cloud
11. Andy Bell was high scorer with 3 goals. Sam Harrington,
Shawn Wheelock, and Josh Bell each had 1 goal. Sam Harrington,
and Josh Bell each had 1 assist, while Ryan Degner had 2 assists.
An out standing job in defense by Sam Harrington along with
28 saves by Tim Johnson in goal kept the Robins in the game
until the last few minutes. Robins who also were contibuting
players were Mary Devine who split her time between offense
and defense along with Ryan Degner. Playing at wing this evening
were Senior Angel Mire, Rachel Stande, Heidi Sunders and entering
at center Nicole Crawford. The Robins move into the consolation
bracket with a 10:30pm game on Saturday.
Robins 16- Moundsview 3
The Robins defeated Moundsview in the playoff game Tuesday 3/4/03
with a score of 16-3. Josh Bell was high scorer for the Robins
with 8 goals. Shawn Wheelock and Andy Bell each made 3 goals
with Shawn and Josh each assisting twice. Mary Devine and Nicole
Crawford each made 1 goal. Ryan Degner and Jacob Yurick each
made one assist. Angel Mirer had 4 assists and Mary Devine had
3 assists showing the Robins depth. This advances the Robins
to the State MH Hockey tournament March 14 and 15 with a 6th
place seed. Other contributing Robins were Tim Johnson, made
one fantastic save and needed only 7 other saves for a Robins
victory. Heidi Sunders, Marni Manning, Tom Smith, Thom Sander,
Jonathon Krolak, and Jason Dorr were also contributing players.
Heidi Sunders stepped up to the challenge by replacing a missing
Sam Harrington in defense.
1/10/03 Robins 17- Wayzata 7
The Robbinsdale, Hopkins, Mound Westonka Robins defeated Wayzata
17-7 on January 10 at Wayzata. Tim Johnson had 50 saves to keep
the Robins in the game. Josh Bell had 9 goals and 4 assists.
Angel Mire made 3 goals and 1 save. Andy Bell and Shawn Wheelock
each made 2 goals and Andy had 5 assists while Shawn had 2 assists.
Nicole Crawford made 1 goal late in the 3rd period. Mary Devine,
Heidi Sunders, and Rachel Strande each made 1 assist. The game
was very close until the Robins opened up and went ahead late
in the 3rd period. Great job by the team. Other Robins contributors
were Sam Harrington, Ryan Degner, and Thom Sander.
Robins 17- Wayzata 7
Robins 16-South Suburban 4
The Robins defeated South Suburban 16-4. In the last regular
game of the season , Josh Bell scored 6 goal and made 3 assists.
Andy Bell had 5 goals and 3 assists. Sam Harrington made 3 goals
and 4 assists. Shawn Wheelock made 1 goal and 1 assist. Heidi
Sunders made 1 goal and 1 assist. Angel Mire was a great supportive
player with 6 assists. Ryan Degner had 1 assist. Tim Johnson
had 30 saves as goalie. This leaves the Robins with 7 wins and
5 losses going into the State Tournament.
The Robins JV ending the season undefeated with 11-2 victory
over South Suburban. Nicole Crawford made 4 goals, Marni Manning,
Thom Sander, and Rachel Stande each scored 2 goals. Jacob Yurick
contributed with 1 goal. Jason Dorr, Jonathon Krolask and Trevin
Rawls rounded out the Robins roster for the evening. A great
year for the Robins JV Hockey team- Congratulation team.
Robins 8- Maple Grove 15
The Robins lost a competitive game with Maple Grove losing 15-8.
Josh Bell had 3 goals and 3 assists. Andy Bell made 2 goals
and 1 assist while Angel Mire had 2 goals. Heidi Sunders made
1 goal and Shwan Wheelock , Sam Harrington each made 1 assist.
Goalie Tim Johnson had another outstanding game with 51 saves.
The Robins JV defeated Maple Grove 5-4 with Nicole Crawford
with 3 goals, Rachel Stande with 1 goal and 1 assist. Jacob
Yurick had 1 goal and Tom Smith had 1 assist. The JV remains
undefeated with 1 game to play against South Suburban this Thursday.
Robins 18- Dakota 3
The Robbinsdale, Hopkins, Moundsview Robins defeated Dakota
18-3 at Dakota United. Josh Bell scored 5 goals and had 1 assist.
Andy Bell, Angel Mire and Mary Devine each made 3 goals with
Mary and Angel each having 1 assist. Heidi Sunders made 2 goals,
Nicole Crawford 1 goal and Shawn Wheelock 1 goal. A great job
again by goalie Tim Johnson with 20 saves. Sam Harrington, Ryan
Degner, Thom Sander and Rachel Strande were also contributing
Robins.
The Robins JV defeated Dakota 8-2. High scorer for the Robins
was Nicole Crawford with 3 with Trevin Rawl and Jacob Yurick
each making 2 and Rachel Strande making 1 goal. The Robins JV
remain undefeated.
Robins 7 - Winona 8 OT
The Robins lost to Winona 7-8 in overtime in a hard fought battle
of 49
shots on goal for Winona one of which was in overtime to 47
shots on goal
the Robins. Goalie Tim Johnson had 40 saves. Josh Bell and Mary
Devine each scored 2 goals while Andy Bell, Angel Mire, and
Heidi Sunder each made 1 goal. Assists by Rachel Stande, Sam
Harrington, Josh Bell with 3 assists by Andy Bell showed a real
team effort. The score went back and forth with the Robins pulling
ahead late in the 3rd period when Winona returned a couple scores
to tie the Robins. The game went into overtime and Winona scored
on a defliction to win the game. A great job by the Robins and
a heartbreaking defeat.
The Robins JV defeated Winona JV with a score of 5-4. Nicole
Crawford and Jacob Yurick each scored 2 goals while Heidi Sunders
scored 1. Assists were made by Jacob Yurick and Trevin Rawls.
J onathan Krolak had 12 saves as full time JV goalie. The JV
remains undefeated.
Robins 12- North Suburban 1
The Robins defeated North Suburban 12-1 with the full roster
playing tonight. Leading scorer was Senior Shawn Wheelock with
4 goals and 1 assist. Andy Bell had 3 goals to get yet another
hat trick. Andy also had 1 assist. Rachel Stande had 2 goals
and 2 assists. Angel Mire, Heidi Sunders and Josh Bell each
scored 1 goal with Josh having 2 assist on the evening. Mary
Devine also had one assist. Tim Johnson had a great night in
goal with 23 saves. A great defensive effort by Sam Harrington,
Thom Sander, Ryan Degner, Andy and Josh Bell, Heidi Sunders
kept the attempts on goal by North Suburban down to 26 while
the Robins shot 36 times. Other Robins who played tonight were
Nicole Crawford, Honathon Krulak, Trevin Rawls, Jacob Yurick,
Tom Smith, Marni Manning and Jason Dorr. The Robins travel to
Wayzata next Monday. This win brings the Robins record to 4-3
with 5 games left in regular season play.
Robins 9- Hudson, Wis. 4
The Robins defeated Hudson with a score of 9-4 at Hudson February
4, 2003. Goalie Tim Johnson saves were in double didgets. High
scorer for the Robins was Josh Bell with a hat trick in the
third period of the game adding to 2 goal in the first period.
Sam Harrington had 1 goal, Shawn Wheelock had 1 goal, Ryan Degner
1 goal, and Heidi Sunders 1 goal. Good defensive play was turned
in by Sam Harrington, Mary Devine, Andy Bell, Shawn Wheelock
and Tom Sander. Making their debut in Varsity competition were
Jonathan Krolak and Tom Smith. Other Robins adding to the victory
were Rachel Stande with outstanding passes to center, and team
leader Angel Mire. Confusing the oppositions defensive concentration
was sopomore Nicole Crawford with her unique style of play.
The Robins record currently is 3-3 after a rough start to the
season. The next game is home Thursday with North Suburban.
Robins 10-Anoka 1
The Robins defeated Anoka 10-1 with a great effort by goalie
Tim Johnson. Tim had 20 saves in goal. Twins Josh and Andy Bell
each tied with 4 goals a piece for lead scorers for the Robins.
Shawn Wheelook and Sam Harrington each scored 1 goal each to
round out the Robins offensive effort. Sam Harrington lead assists
with 4 while Josh Bell came in with 3 and Rachel Strande with
1. Playing great defense for the Robins was Sam, Andy, Mary
Devine, Thom Sander and Heidi Sunders. Rounding out the Robins
effort were Angel Mire, Ryan Degner and Nicole Crawford. Trying
his hand at Varsity for the first time this season was 9th grader
Jacob Yurick. Tonight was Parent Appreciation night for the
Robins who had a great crowd on hand to watch the Robins second
victory of the season. This game brings the Varsity record to
2-3.
The Robins JV remain undefeated with a score of 14-1 against
Anoka. The lead scorer for the JV was Nicole Crawford who scored
5. Close behind Nicole was Jacob Yurick with 4 goals. 7th grader
Rachel Strande made 2 goals with Ryan Degner and Trevin Rawls
each making 1. Assist on the JV were made by Rachel and Jacob,
each 3 assists while Heide Sunders made 1 assist. This brings
the JV record to 4-0.
Robins 13 - Moundsview 2
The Robins defeated Moundsview 13-2 in the first victory of
the season for MH hockey. Top scorer for the Robins was Senior
Shawn Wheelock with 4 followed by Andy Bell with 3, and Josh
Bell and Angel Mire each 2. One goal each by Rachel Strande
and Thom Sander round out the Robins offense. A great job was
done by goalie Tim Johnson. Assists for the evening were made
by Andy Bell, Ryan Degner, Shawn Wheelock, Josh Bell and Mary
Devine. Mary Devine along with Andy Bell did an outstanding
job on defense. The were lead on defense by Sam Harrington.
Also contributing to the Robins victory were Nicole Crawford,
Trevin Rawls, Jonathan Krolak, marni Manning, and Tom Smith.
Thursday the Robins host Anoka at their Parent Appreciation
night at Hosterman. Parent Appreciation will begin at 6:15 pm
followed by JV game and the Varsity game.
Robins 7- St. Cloud 9
The Robbinsdale Robins lost at home to St. Cloud in a close
contest. St. Cloud came on strong in the first period to take
the lead. The Robins fought back to stay in the game. Goalie
Tim Johnson had 17 saves. The Robins had 33 attempts on goal
to St. Clouds 39 attempts on goal. Lead scorer was Josh Bell
with 3 goals and 1 assist. Just behind him was Ryan Degner with
2 goals and 1 assist. Rounding out the Robins scoring was Andy
Bell with 1 goal and 1 assist. Shawn Wheelock had 3 assists
for the Robins while Mary Devine, Angel Mire, Sam Harrington
Thom Sander, Rachel Stande, and Nicole Crawford all helped the
Robins stay in the game to the very end. Eighth grader from
PMS Rachel Stande got injuried the first period. The Robins
are playing hard and waiting to come up with their first wind
of the hockey season.
The JV defeated St. Cloud 8-2 with Jacob Yurick as high scorer
with 4 goals and 2 assists. Behind Jacob was Ryan Degner with
2 goals and 3 assists and Rachel Stande with 2 goals and 2 assists.
Also playing a supportive roll on the JV were Marni Manning,
Jonathon Krolak, Jason Dorr, and Tom Smith. Tom is new this
sport and hails from Mound Westonka. Jonathon Krolak is also
new this season and hails from Hopkins. The Robins JV remains
undefeated.
Robins 0- Owatonna 3
The Robins lost to Owatonna in a hard fought game Tuesday evening
after a long trip down to Owatonna. A highlight of the game
was the 41 saves by Robins goalie Tim Johnson. The game was
scoreless the first period of play. After scoring 2 in the second
period Owatonna finished with one in the third. The Robins had
difficulty getting a good shot on goal.
The Robins JV defeat Owatonna with a score of 5-0. Leading
scorers for the Robins were Rachel Stande and Ryan Degner each
with 2 goals and Nicole Crawford with 1. A great effort by Trevin
Rawls at his first time at wing. A good defensive effort by
Marni Manning. Shawn Wheelock had 8 saves in goal.
Robins 8 -St. Paul Humbolt 10
The Robbinsdale Robins were defeated by St. Paul Humbolt 8-10
at the home opener. This was a hard fought game with Josh Bell
scoring 6 goals giving him high scorer honors for the night.
The other two goals were made by Andy Bell and senior Angel
Mire. Assists for the night were made by senior Shawn Wheelock
who had two, Andy Bell who had two, and Mary Devine and Angel
Mire each having one. Outstanding job in goal by Tim Johnson
with support by backup goalie Mary Devine really gave the Robins
a chance to keep the game close. Both Coach Evans and Silbaugh
said that it looks like a promising year for the Robins hockey
team. Go Robins! Supporting Robins on defense was Sam Harrington
who was fouled and temporarily injured which put the Robins
in a power play situation. Sam also took a turn at wing while
Thom Sanders entered the game twice on defense. Nicole Crawford
and Rachel Strande who both instrumental in the JV game, played
on wing for the Varsity. Both girls show promise. This was a
heartbreaking loss, but a great start to the hockey season.
The JV defeated Humbolt 4-3 in a very exciting game. Shawn
Wheelock with his debut in goal was learning the position and
did a fine job. Center Nicole Crawford had 6 shots on goal and
two goals. Wing Rachel Stande and wing Jacob Yurick each scored
1 goal for the Robins. Ben Davision who played both center and
defense had 2 shots on goal. Jason Dorr who played wing had
1 assist. This was a great start for the Robins JV.
2002-2003 Floor Hockey Season
The Robins 2002-2003 Adapted Floor Hockey season begins in January
2003. We hope to see all of our parents and fans at our games
this season. Go Robins!
