Regular Season Record: 10 Wins - 2 Losses

10/23/2001: Robbinsdale 11 vs. Dakota 12
The Robbinsdale Robins lost a very exciting, close game Thursday, October
25th at home. The night started with a Parent Appreciation Celebration by
the Robins. The Robins got off to a great start and Dakota answered. The
scoring was close and back and forth for the majority of the game. For the
Robins, Ross Strochrich scored 6 goals with 2 assists. Sam Harrington came up with 3 goals, while Angel Mire scored 1 and Ryan McGee had 1 goal and 1 assist. The Robins lost a heartbreaker with a score of 12 for Dakota and 11 for the Robins. It was a hard fought game with the score tied for the last 3 minutes of the game with Dakota scoring on the Robins in the last 20 seconds of the game. The Robins remain in 2nd place going in to the state tournament. The players hosted refreshments for parents and players in the cafeteria following the game. The Robins look forward to a strong showing at the State soccer tournament in two weeks.

10/23/2001: Robbinsdale 14 vs. Minneapolis 13
The Robins came from behind to defeat Minneapolis Roosevelt with a score of 14 to13. Lead scorers were Mary Devine with 5 goals and 3 assists with
Ross Strochrich also with 5 goals.Tim Johnson, Angel Mire, and Ryan McGee each made 1 goal to round out the Robins offensive scoring. A great defensive effort by goalie Jessica Vaughn was supported by excellent
defense by Tim Micheals and Shawn Wheelock. The Robins came together to win by coming from behind and holding off Mpls in the last 5 minutes.

10/16/2001: Robbinsdale 13 vs. Wayzata 4
The Robbinsdale Robins defeated Wayzata with a score of 13-4. Ryan McGee had his best game of the season offensively and defensively. The teams playmaker, Ross Strochrich scored 7 goals with 1 assist. Mary Devine followed with 3 goals and 1 assist with Angel Mire, Ryan McGee each making on goal and Ryan 1 assist. With a ususally good defensive effort Shawn Wheelock helped with 2 assists. This was a good come back for the Robins after their loss to Humbolt.

The Robins Junior Varsity defeated Wayzata JV with a score of 8 to 1. Sam Clarke scored 4 goals with the offensive line assisting and scoring the
other 4 goals. The last Robins JV game will be October 25 at the home game with Dakota.

The Robins are planning a parent appreciation night for October 25th. They
hope to see you all there.

10/15/2001: Robbinsdale 3 vs. St. Paul Humboldt 12
The Robbinsdale Robins suffered their first lose of the season to St. Paul Humbolt on October 15. The score of 12 to 3.

10/10/2001: Robbinsdale 14 vs. Moundview 3
The Robins defeated Moundsview with a score of 14 to 3 on Wednesday. The triple threat of Ross Strochrich, Jessica Vaughn, and Mary Devine each scored 3 goals and made 1 assist each. Ryan McGee has a great game with 2 goals and 2 assists. Rounding out the scoring for the Robins was Angel Mire and Freshman Sam Harrington. A great defensive team effort was giving by Shawn Wheelock, Tim Micheals, and also Tim Johnson who again returned to goalie after an injury in Tuesday nights game. Sam Clarke, Kari Larsen, Marnie Manning and Tom Sanders all played in tonights game. The Robins are 8 and 0!

10/9/2001: Robbinsdale 6 vs. South Washington 4
The Robbinsdale Robins defeated South Washington County with a score of 6 to 4. Jessica Vaughn had an outstanding game as goalie. Her one opportunity out of goal as center was cut short with an injury to Tim Johnson who had just replaced her in goal. Sam Harrington was top scorer with 3 goals. Mary Devine was next with 2 goals and 1 assist. Play maker midfielder Ross Strochrich had 1 goal and 1 assist to round out the Robins scoring. Tim Micheals, Angel Mire, Ryan McGee and Shawn Wheelock also gave great support to make it a great team effort. South Washington was the Robins greatest competition so far this soccer season. This brings the Robins to a 7 to 0 season so far.

The Robins also had a junior varsity game with South Washington and tied 3 to 3 with Sam Harrington a Freshman scoring 2 goals and Tom Sanders scoring one goal.

10/1/2001: Robbinsdale 14 vs. Anoka 1
The Robbinsdale Robins defeated Anoka with a score of 14 to 1 October
1st. The top two scorers were Mary Devine and Angel Mire each with 3 goals. Ross Strochrich was right behind them with 2 goals and 2 assists. Jessica Vaughn also had an assist. A great team effort was given by Ryan McGee, Shawn Wheelock, Sam Clarke, Sam Harrington and Tom Sanders each making 1 goal. Today was the debut of Marnie Manning as a forward on Varsity. Senior Kari Larsen gave a great effort as forward with a couple of scoring opportunities. This brings the Robins record to 6 and 0!

9/25/2001: Robbinsdale 14 vs. St. Paul Johnson 1
The Robbinsdale Robins defeated St Paul Johnson 14 to 1. Ross Strochrich lead the Robins to victory with 6 goals. Mary Devine followed with 3 goals. A strong performance by goalie Jessica Vaughn with defensive support from Tim Michaels and Shawn Wheelock who each scored a goal gives the Robins a well rounded defensive effort. Rounding out the Robins scoring were Jessica Vaughn, as a wing, Sam Harrington, and Tim Johnson on offense each scoring 1 point. Tim Johnson also did a great job a back up goalie giving Jessica a break in goal. The lone assist of the game was given by Angel Mire. The Robins continue to grow in their teamwork.

9/24/2001: Robbinsdale 16 vs. North Suburban 1
The Robbinsdale Robins were victorious over the North Suburban Tigers with a score of 16-1. The top scorer of the game was Ross Strochirch scoring 6 goals and 2 assists. Mary Devine scored 2 goals and Ryan McGee scored 3 goals to round out the top 3 scorers for the Robins. The team showed excellent team work with Sam Harrington, Shawn Wheelock, Jessica Vaughn, Tim Johnson, Angel Mire, and Tim Micheals each making 1 goal. Assisting with 2 goals was Tim Micheals, and also with 1 assist Sam Clarke. Tim Johnson in his debut at the forward wing position did a great job. Tim Micheals also appeared for the first time this year as a Wing. Each made good with a goal during their first opportunity as a forward. The Robins remain undefeated this year with a 4 and 0 record.

9/20/2001: Robbinsdale 13 vs. South Suburban 9
The Robbinsdale Robins were victorious over the reigning soccer champions, South Suburban, Thursday September 20th with a score of 13 to 9. Mary Devine was the most valuable player for the Robins with 6 goals. Ross Strochirch supported with a terrific effort with 6 assists and 2 goals. The usual great job was done by defensive players Tim Michaels and Shawn Wheelock. The win was a great team effort by the Robin according to coach Kerry Evans.

9/17/2001: Robbinsdale 20 vs. Stillwater 1
The Robins of Robbinsdale beat Stillwater on September 17th at Stillwater with a score of 20 to 1. The highlight of the game was Senior Sam Clarke making 3 goals.

9/12/2001: Robbinsdale 7 vs. Park Center 2
The Robins from Robbinsdale defeated Park Center in the first home game of the season. The team made a great team effort with Ryan McGee, Mary Devine, and Sam Harrington each scoring 2 goals. Ross Strohirch had 1 goal and 7 assists to complete a great team effort!
